Parent permissions & image rights
Your authority and the difference between sharing and promotion.
One confirmation for each athlete
When saving an athlete profile you confirm: “I am this athlete’s parent or legal guardian and have legal authority to manage their data, photos and videos. I have permission to use the uploaded content, including any other identifiable people and the rights of its creator.” The confirmation is required again when you save an edited profile. Having a coach’s permission or becoming an affiliate does not make you the child’s legal representative.
Sharing is a separate choice
Choose “Only me” to keep the profile and uploaded media accessible only to your account. Choose “Private preview members” to authorize their display within the current preview audience. Gallery display choices must also be respected. Do not upload another child’s image simply because that child plays on the same team. A child’s comfort and dignity should guide what you share.
Advertising requires a different permission
Profile sharing does not allow Athlete Growth to sell the child’s likeness, create endorsements, use it in advertising, identify faces or train AI. Any future campaign must have a separate permission identifying files, purpose, channels, territory, dates, displayed name and compensation. Declining promotional use must not reduce Basic access or affect ratings. No blanket advertising authorization is included in account registration.
Withdrawal or an authority dispute
Change visibility in My athletes to stop shared display, or submit a rights or safety request. We cannot guarantee recovery of content copied before withdrawal. Do not transfer control based only on familiarity with a child. A credible custody or authority dispute may require restricting the profile while the relevant authority is established. Athlete Growth does not decide custody.
